Stephen B. Green
Steve Green is a Biblical Counselor with over 20 years of experience in counseling many different issues in the pastoral context. He has counseled people who have marriage, parenting, substance abuse, anger and sexual issues. From his home in Newberg he works with churches from Vancouver, WA to Eugene, OR.
Steve lost his first wife, Ann, with whom he had shared 30 years in June 2012. Steve has five children ranging in age from 32 to 21 from his marriage with Ann. God blessed Steve with his new wife, Laura, who also lost her first husband mere weeks prior to Ann’s death. They are now blending their families and navigating how to do that well. He loves to spend time with his granddaughter, Annalee, and his grandsons, Aaron and Lucas. He also enjoys the outdoors, dogs, books (the pastor’s addiction), and spending time with family and friends.

Independent Associate Counselor
Kristin Silva holds a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Westminster Seminary California and has completed her counseling training and internship through the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF).
She has been counseling in the context of the local church since 2010 though her first introduction to counseling came almost a decade earlier during her years doing campus ministry. Those years gave her a picture of what counseling and discipleship could look like together and are the foundation for her current passion to work with and alongside of churches to walk with people through various trials. She counsels a wide variety of struggles ranging from, but not limited to, sexuality, past abuse, fear and anxiety, depression, and marriages.
Kristin’s two loves are coffee and kayaking. Though most often she enjoys these separately, sometimes, on a glorious Saturday morning, you can find her enjoying an iced coffee during a leisurely paddle on the Willamette. She also enjoys hiking and gathering with friends to eat, laugh and have good conversation.
If you would like to contact Kristin for counseling or speaking engagements, please contact her at either: Kristin@ImpactBiblicalCounseling.com or (503) 862-3587.
Loraena began her counseling studies in 2013 through CCEF and has since transferred her classwork into Westminster Theological Seminary’s Master of Arts in Counseling program and is currently in-process.
She lives in Hillsboro and has been married since 2001 to her husband, Josh, and they have two daughters together through adoption. Her heart for counseling has grown over the past decade as she served with her husband in ministry at a local church. Loraena and her husband have also walked together through loss on multiple occasions and through it, she developed a passion for the foundational importance of clinging to the hope we have in Jesus Christ when all else fails. Her primary focus thus far has been with those struggling over questions of faith, have suffered loss (particularly infertility and adoption loss or other relational losses), depression, and women who are struggling in/ healing from difficult relationships. Loraena is excited to serve the greater Portland community by interning with Impact and hopes to learn as much as possible.
In her (very little) spare time, Loraena loves reading, making music, brunching with her family, and watching movies with her husband.
